Let’s get to know this in simple terms :

Hypertension is a primary risk factor for cardiovascular disease, including stroke, heart attack, heart failure, etc. Keeping blood pressure under control is vital for preserving good health and reducing the risk of these dangerous conditions.

Heey!!!hope you guys are doing good with Health and Happiness!!!Today we are talking about a silent killer (Husssh Hussh)

All of us are aware of the measures we can include in “Our DIY”. Our prioritization on our Health is often taken back seat.So let’s start with baby steps of starting something in our DIY

Let’s get to know you..Hypertension

Currently, incidence of hypertension to 20 to 40% in urban areas and 12 to 17% in rural areas of India.” Grim statistics “One in three Indian adults” has high blood pressure. Further on let’s fragment it “1 in 4 men” and “1 in 5 women” are hypertensive.

In India blood pressure levels between 130-139/80-89 as "high normal", 120-129/below 80 as "normal", and below 120/below 80 as "optimal" according to books.

Just keep a tab on the readings and if more than 3 consecutive readings are predicting the same, meet your doc.

There can be many random reasons, Experts say Stress, Lifestyle ,Eating habits, Weight issues, Heredity ,Age etc. Of which we can pick Sedentary Lifestyle, Salt rich high fat diet, Low potassium Intake.

Lets try doing simple stuff on daily basis,

1. Drink water: I understand we are busy we forget, Install an water alarm on the phone and follow it (Anyways we are all on phone all times, let’s use it constructively)

2.Exercise: We are on calls most of the time, Start walking and talking try to do this as a routine, please don’t start measuring the number of steps.

If your using a cab, stop at least a km away so that you can walk

3.Try not to use a remote

On a weekend, Try to get outdoors (not a mall/movie/shopping)

A funn Badminton match

Just cycle around


Run a terrain

Do some gardening for your own kitchen supplies

P.S..Avoid sleeping on a weekend

Now..Healthy diet…Maintaing a Healthy diet is not any luxury but need of the hour.Please see a Nutrionist wen you feel that following a healthy diet is required.Please do not follow diets that are mentioned on the website or followed by others

You need to understand that diets will vary from person to person.

Stress: We all have to deal with this on a regular basis and are very aware on this too.

Do consider Stress as a main reason, work on it.. Take a break from work, Visit a friend, Book yourself a SPA ,if your budget permits take frequent small trips.

The tested method is “Listen to Music”. It works wonders.

Remember “Hypertension is not a sympathy seeking condition, if you’re at an young age work on it aggressively and make changes, if your at an older phase still work on it the best possible way”


High blood pressure does not usually cause symptoms. Very high blood pressure can cause headaches, blurred vision, nosebleeds, difficulty breathing, chest pain, irregular heartbeat, blood in the urine, confusion, or pounding in the chest, neck, or ears. See your doc if you have any of these symptoms.
